My Process
Initial Consultation
We start with a free 15-minute consultation to determine whether working together is a good fit. This is not a therapy session
First Session
If we decide to move forward, the first session focuses on understanding what brings you in, relevant background, and what you want to work toward
Ongoing Sessions
Sessions are structured and practical. We focus on identifying patterns, building skills, and tracking progress over time. Sessions are collaborative and goal-directed
Review and adjustment
We periodically review progress and adjust focus as needed. Therapy is not open-ended by default.
I’m a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in Arizona, practicing under clinical supervision in accordance with Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners requirements. I am a Veteran and have lived a life marked by real adversity. I have experienced homelessness and understand, firsthand, what it takes to rebuild and move forward.
I work with adults who want a practical, straightforward approach to counseling. My style is structured and collaborative, with an emphasis on identifying patterns, building usable skills, and making steady progress rather than staying stuck in open-ended conversations.
I don’t believe therapy needs to be complicated to be effective. Sessions are focused, intentional, and grounded in what’s actually happening in your life.
My Approach
My work is informed by evidence-based practices, including cognitive and skills-based approaches. Therapy is tailored to your goals, pace, and needs, not dictated by insurance requirements or preset treatment limits.
We’ll focus on:
Clarifying what’s driving current challenges
Identifying unhelpful patterns and responses
Developing practical tools you can use between sessions
Reviewing progress and adjusting as needed
Therapy here is collaborative and goal-directed. It’s not crisis services, and it’s not open-ended by default.
